CONTEMPORARY GEOMETRIC BEADWORK

an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators

Rick-Rack

We are deep into the Rick-Rack section of the book, and amazingly we are are still innovating, still making bangles, each one exciting. Christina sent me a photo last night that would have knocked my socks off if it had been winter and I had been wearing any.

This photograph, taken by Jeroen Medema, is of another of Gabri’s glorious examples. We haven’t shown the whole piece yet, but we will soon, when we do a Rick-Rack update on the Specials For Pre-Orders page.

Can you see the second layer that is possible in these pieces? Gabri added it for sturdiness, which is very effective, but we also have many pieces to show that use the layering for visual effect alone, to build things like tall double crowns. So glorious, all of it.
