Shipping Update

Hello! I’ve just heard from our press, which is located on the East Coast; the blizzards that have grounded planes and closed schools and factories have also backed up freight shipping across the country. Our bindery actually had to close for two days, with over two feet of snow. Wowza! Trucks are moving again, though, and our shipment is now expected to arrive at the end of next week. No promises on the day; I must simply wait for the trucking firm to get here.

We may die of anticipation here at Team CGB, but winter is winter, and there is no arguing with a couple of feet of snow.

In the meantime, while we wait, Kate is working on a Pagoda Bangle, in process- soon it will have some excitement in the form of a secondary layer, and tiny garnets at the closure. Right now it’s still a spunky Five-Wing, one that doesn’t want to behave. Closing bracelets into bangles helps discipline them- those done strap-band style save a lot of time and beads, but they are like eels in the hand.

As long as everyone is safe, waiting a little longer will sharpen the pleasure when it does arrive

Not a problem – we can’t second guess things like this – waiting, waiting – is half the fun! Thank you for keeping in touch.

Thank you, sweet people. It’s crazy hard to wait, here, among 14 cartons of envelopes and 8,000 postcards and 1,000 Japanese erases and way too many bags of Smarties rolls.
