Another great review!

Rose Rushbrooke wrote a beautiful and thoughtful review of Contemporary Geometric Beadwork.

An excerpt from her review:

“My opinion is this book is, or will be, a beading bible. Mainly for its thought provoking design ideas, its colour combinations, and its freshness. These are simple designs, beautifully executed. You can feel the honesty and integrity which went into the writing and assemblage of the book. Kate WANTS you to go away and be thrilled with the myriad of ideas which start popping into your head when you peruse each page.”

Right on, Rose! Thanks for the review!

When I received your amazing book I became transfixed by page after page of incredible creations. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning! I was overwhelmed initially by the seeming complexity of the projects but when I delved a bit further, I realized that the simplicity of your basic instructions encourages a beader to become creative instead of being restricted to exact counts, etc. After 20+ years of beading which includes years of classes and a library consisting of beading books & trade magazines, your book has quickly become my favorite! Thank you for freeing my inner beading muse! I am going to preorder your next book today…..

Thank you! Many people are writing in to say the book unstuck or re-energized them. What a heady compliment, especially from people like you who have been beading and reading beading books for 20 years. You made my morning.

My book arrived a few days ago, and I am beginning to breathe again…just barely. It is a jewel. I made a little toothpick holder…apparently all that talk of horns, etc, made me think of little sharp objects…. What utter delight! I will try and post a picture of it on my FB page, eventually.
