Delights from Volume II

Veena Chugani sent in a glorious interpretation of Kate McKinnon’s Pagoda Bangle (a pre-released pattern from the Specials For Pre-Orders, Volume II page) in a gorgeous colourway.

It’s always so exciting to us to see the pieces come through other hands, other minds. We love the interplay in this one; even the cool colours seem hot.

Veena used three magnetic clasps on hers; Kate used two snaps, and this piece is gorgeous as a bangle as well.

When do we get the colors of Veena Chugani’s bracelet?

Ah, who could resist such a demanding tone?
They were published on our Facebook page, and will appear in Volume II, coming out in December.
      Here you go:

      21 – Nickel Silver
      375 Aqua Matte
The shaded horns in order that I used
      721 — Opaque Yellow
      1132 — Canary Yellow
651 or 682 — Orange (we will check this)
      795 — Dark Orange Matte
      753 — Red Matte
      654 — Opaque Burgundy

This is breathtaking… requires several views just to take in all the color combinations as well as the way the shapes seem to change with the different colorways in the two bangles. THANKS for sharing!!

Patricia, Veena’s bangle is so individual and distinctive that I actually forgot she was interpreting the Pagoda until I reviewed our email correspondence. I had to smile; we’ve come so far past the idea of protecting our designs that sometimes we don’t even think of what inspired whom.

Colour is like another dimension, as well- it’s as much a part of the design as the increase count on the horns. Veena is expert with her combinations.
