Cone Stitch

The final Cone Stitch video is up! I hope you enjoy exploring the technique. Be sure to click into Hi-Def if you want to watch full screen.

Cones Of Darkness, Christina Vandervlist, Contemporary Geometric Beadwork, 2012

This stitch was designed by Dustin Wedekind, genius beader, and explored gorgeously by Christina Vandervlist in CGB, Volume I. Above the piece “Cones Of Darkness”, by Christina Vandervlist.

I have yet to pick up beading, but seeing this definitely makes me want to start with some cones. Thank you!

I know! People were just waiting for a video, to get the join. I was so horrified by my size 6/10 error that I’m actually redoing the whole thing this morning. I woke up very fierce, ready to become one with the cold air and the technology. So far so good!

Someone asked me this morning why I would post substandard work, and I had to laugh. I REALLY don’t want anyone to think I’m some kind of a hot shot, so I’m always sure to promote my failures as actively as my successes. ; )

Thanks for reminding me about the cone; almost forgot that structure!
