an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators

Proofs are stacking up… and we are getting close to finishing the print part of this project, and going to press with Volume II. Please subscribe to this blog by using the “Follow” button in the upper right sidebar, if you want the news in your email.

Would you like a peek of a poster that I finished today? The first small run of 100 is for the New York talk next week. We are doing a large run of them, though, and they will be for sale in the Shop next week. Each poster will come with a mini-me postcard that lists every artist (and every designer) for each piece shown. I hope you like it!

What do you mean by that?

Amazon has just been granted a patent for taking photos against a white background by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Ridiculous, but true!

I just KNEW you’d come up with a great poster!!! It just follows in the natural progression of the project. And what great proof of the diversity in interpretations of the basic ideas and inspirations. So glad to be a small part of this. And yes, I’m going to grab one the first chance I get… since tomorrow is my birthday (won’t say how many, can’t count that high) this will be my present to myself. What could be better? When the books arrive that will be the icing on the cake. WhenEVER.

The poster looks great. Would it be available for overseas admirers and how would it travel?

Hi, Betty! The posters will mail in tubes, and I’ll have prices today, I think, for overseas shipping. It won’t be too much for first class, I don’t think.
