an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators

This is what we are working on today. Pages 1-215 of Volume II. So much beautiful, original work; tens of thousands of hours went into the beadwork alone, and the work is from hundreds of people from all over the world. Just… wow. There are 5o more pages right behind these.

    Hi Kate,

First off, the work you create and what others are doing just blows my mind!! Amazing.

Secondly, I’m confused- I got the second volume from Jean, is this a different volume 2? Is there another volume 2 that you’re putting out? if so, have I bought it yet, LOL?????

    Have a great day

      Hi, Wendy!
Yes, Jean and I had so much content together (and different ideas about how we really wanted to present it going forward) that we each did our own series. Jean’s books are great, and more like pattern books. She’s done two now and is planning a third.

Contemporary Geometric Beadwork is quite different, and our second volume is coming out in about a month. I am not planning a third volume. Here is a link to the set- the books are available individually as well.

Absitively, posolutely STUNNING. The visual and the understanding of what is behind it. A monumental body of work. Great job, everyone, and most especially KATE!!
