an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators
Hello all!
We’ve got some announcements coming this week. Full day workshops with an international team of CGB beaders will be available during the last two weeks of July in Boston, and in October, we are getting up a large gathering in France during the week of October 5-11.
We’ll have a schedule up soon with signups, and we’ll post it here and on our Facebook page as soon as we get our details sorted.
In an upcoming issue of Perlen Poesie magazine, Joke Van Biesen will show how to place Hypars into a simple Flat Peyote Triangle to make energetic origami-style folding, rolling, flying forms.

Also, this coming week here on the Book Blog, we start the Casting Pod Bead-Along, in which we’ll show you, step-by-step, exactly how to start a Rick-Rack or an All-Wing perfectly to size every time, and with no cold start. Stay tuned!
Absolutely amazed by this and was so easy to figure out. 😍😍😍
I’m looking forward to the bead-a-long also
Looking forward to more innovations and beading along with a casting pod!
Wonderfully out-of-this-world!
HI! I will need an email a day or 2 in advance to get myself ready. Thank you so much for this help that I know I will need.
Thanks, Ruth!
For the Casting Pod, you won’t need more than a couple of dozen size 8 rounds, and three colours of size 11 cylinder bead (I used Delicas). Then, to build a bangle, about 60 grams of cylinder beads, in any colours or design. I’ll post a “Get Ready” with photos today!
Simply amazing work by Joke! How wonderful!
beads needed for bead along, please.

Oh my gosh the triangle with the horns (hypars)is amazing! Where can I get a copy of the magazine in English ( or any language if a lot of pics )?

Hints for necessarys for the step-by-step? Can’t wait!
Prepare to teach him how to bead. Diane Fitzgerald gave me a wonderful tip when I was beginning to teach beading in an after-school program in an elementary school. She suggested using darning needles and cross-stitch thread with the Perlen Beads. They were bigger than delicas, but set up the same and easier for 2nd to 8th graders to manage as they learned Peyote. That was in the 1980’s. Congratulations, Gramma the Great! Me too, she is now almost 2.
You can subscribe to this magazine in english.
