CONTEMPORARY GEOMETRIC BEADWORK

an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators

Basics Sections, Volumes I and II

Please enjoy the wonderful, idea-filled Basics sections from both volumes, with our love and compliments.

Along with Kate’s accompanying free video, you can learn all of our basic techniques and innovative threadpaths – and then you will be more than ready to plunder our two paper books, which we think of as Explorer’s Guides. Find them here!

We welcome your contributions- please send photos of your work, leave your questions here as comments on the blog, or on our Facebook page, and enjoy all of our YouTube videos.

    Hallo

I just found you a few days ago, and have spent every spare minute reading your website tutorials, and going back through the blog – I am fascinated by your work! Just made my first little hypar (so cute!), and will continue on from there. Already thinking about how well this style might work with bead crochet…

Peyote stitch has always been my favorite stitch. Square stitch is my second favorite. I am going to try my hand at this and keep you posted. I have beaded patterns from Margie Deeds book “Beading Her Image”, and we will see how this goes. Thank you so much for sharing your open mind and all of your questions, that open our minds to have more question. You are a genius and beading.
