an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators

Kanagawa Wave Bangle, Cath Thomas

Please enjoy the gift of these instructions from Cath Thomas, who not only beaded for the books, but also joined our Mighty Edit Team. Her contributions, artistic and technical, made everything more beautiful. See her Rick-Rack Sizing Graphs here.

Her Kanagawa Bangle is a beautiful piece, and it perfectly expresses the soul of the CGB project in the way it riffs on previous techniques, bringing them to new life with playful originality and a wealth of technical know-how.  See this piece in Volume II, page 158. Click the link at the bottom of the page to download the pattern.

The craftsy links seem to all be gone, is there another way to get the pattern?

I was able to find it by logging into Craftsy and doing a search. Thanks so much Kate!

Dear Cath and Kate, despite preordering, I was not able to download this. I believe I may be a bit late for the party. The bangle is extraordinary!

    Warmest Regards,
    Leslie L. Gordon

Omigawsh, THIS is exactly what the Pattern Library should be. Access to terrific designs, free when possible and “fee” when not; and the PL is the hub of a giant creative wheel of beauty. Thank you Kate, for making this possible: and thank you Cath, for making it available.
