CONTEMPORARY GEOMETRIC BEADWORK

an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators

Gallery: Rick-Rack

The Rick-Rack Stitch is easily started on an MRAW Zigged Band, and can be built in one to four layers; the Band can hold an amazing amount of structure.

See the Layered Rick Rack pattern for a full exploration of the evolution of a piece through a simple layered Rick-Rack to a confection with an Elegant Guide Round and an Underskirt.

And just look at what you can do with the Rick-Rack Stitch… bangles, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, multiple layers, stacked layers… no limits. The Exploding Round (another genius threadpath from Volume II, Basics) is perfect for easily starting a new Rick-Rack (with or without its own MRAW Band) off of one that already fits.
