an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators
Greetings, all.
Thanks to all who participated in the BatCycle Beadalong, it was a lot of fun and many bold people made many fantastic pieces. I’ll be sure and put up a gallery of them soon. We are deep in work here, and I’m making a few changes to our web site ahead of publication, so it’s possible that we may be offline here and there for the next week as we get things sorted out. (The direct WordPress link of https://www.beadmobile.wordpress.com will continue to work no matter what we do with http://www.contemporarygeometricbeadwork.com).
I’ll be back with you soon with pictures and updates, and we are still on target to be able to gather as a team to print and ship books beginning this August – fingers crossed that things stay under control.
I am thinking of you all, every day, and everyone around the world who is struggling right now, trying to make sense of everything that is going on. I may have my nose down, but my heart is expanded and I am with you.

Hi,
Hope you’re doing well? I was wondering if you still have your “Contemporary Geometric Beading books 1, 2, and 3 volumes still available for sale?
Please let me know their prices and where I could purchase them. Thank you for your help.
Thank You,
Suzanne

Greetings, Suzanne! We will have them for sale again as soon as we finalize our submissions to the press (September, maybe?).
Thank you for asking,
Kate
Hi Kate, I was not able to attend the bat cycle bead along when it happened. I have been searching for the videos since and all I come up with is your first question and answer session. Are the bead along videos available yet and if so would you send me a link? Below is a picture of my very first ever attempt at bead sculpture which the contemporary geometric beadwork site helped inspire. Please note that his tail resemble your golden serpent bangle form Volume 1 and the idea for spikes on his body also came from your books. Thanks for the inspiration, Joan

Hi there! The FB/Zoom videos did not turn out to be helpful, so I published several blog entries as handouts, showing the full techniques. Have you seen them all? Your reply posted as a comment to the blog, so if you want to send photos, please email me at kate@katemckinnon.com. Best!
